Bea Veness

In 2012 I graduated from the University of Chichester with a degree in Fine Art – and I have been printmaking ever since.

My inspiration is drawn from the world around me – landscapes, seascapes, plants etc., -  and also language, where I convert the linear form of shorthand into contemporary design.

I use screenprinting, often combined with linocuts and charcoal, in small editions of, say, 4 or 6;  sometimes these are variable editions, where I use the same matrix with variations in colour and composition.  All my prints are hand-printed onto archival paper.
